Clarion Hotel, Sligo

The Sligo Clarion, previously St Columba's hospital, was built in 1848 to the design of William Dean Butler. The property is a landmark building boasting a striking granite exterior, which has been lovingly restored into an impressive contemporary hotel with landscaped gardens and spacious parking.

Repointing using Lime Based Mortor

The sand and cement pointing must be removed using hand tools ensuring that the brickwork is not damaged. After removing the sand & cement to a depth of 2.5 times the width of the joint the brickwork must be rinsed using low pressure water to ensure all debris has been removed and repointed using a suitable hydraulic lime based mortar.
